Five Lever Friday | Vol. 10

Bringing you inspiration, ideas, and tools to help you achieve Authentic Wealth

Authentic Wealth is bigger than just financial accumulation – it recognizes the interconnectedness of all aspects of life. It is created when your resources (the 5 levers – Finances, Mindset, Relationships, Health and Time) are aligned with your values, your vision and are ultimately used to achieve the impact you want to have on yourself, your family, your community and the world.

MINDSET

A quick quote for you….

“Whatever you’re not changing, you’re choosing.” – Ryan Holiday

RELATIONSHIPS

Will you find yourself making small talk over the holidays? I’m finding it helpful to reframe this as an opportunity to develop relationships and learn something interesting. Sahil Bloom posted an interesting list of conversation starters… my favorite is “If you had an entire day to yourself with zero responsibilities, how would you spend that time?”

Check out these other conversation starters here.

HEALTH

It’s starting to be cold and flu season… Andrew Huberman talks about the winter months and sickness in this video.

It’s a little technical but I found some of the information interesting.

TIME

Alive Time vs Dead Time…It’s a concept coined by Robert Greene, a New York Times bestselling author. Dead Time is what you wait for things to happen to you. Alive Time is when you take control and make the most of your time. I do agree with this philosophy but I think it is important to incorporate activities that you find rejuvenating in your definition of “making the most of your time”. I think it is too easy to become overly focused on personal growth at the expense of activities that recharge your batteries… Let me know what you think!

Here’s a quick video from Ryan Holiday on this concept.
